A Name You Know. A Voice You Trust.

Why am I running?

I am running for office to be a fierce advocate and a strong voice for our community’s unique needs. District 9 needs an experienced leader who is ready Day One for the County Council. Over 60% of what the County Council does is sits as District Council on land use and zoning matters. For over 2 decades, I have been your voice on land use and development matters. District 9 deserves a leader that will be transparent, accountable and in touch with its diverse needs. District 9 also deserves a community advocate who has always put people first who has a track record of delivering results for our families, seniors, youth and young adults and local businesses.

Integrity Matters

As a woman of faith, my good name and character are valuable to me. I will not compromise my integrity for selfish ambitions. I understand that elected leaders are in office to serve the people, not themselves or special interests. Your interests and priorities will always be my top priority. I have never been seen as a political insider when I have run for public office in the past. In fact, when I ran for this same seat in 2018, I lost by ONLY 55 votes!  Yet, I continued to be your voice in District 9 as an ordinary citizen. I will be your trusted voice on the Prince George's County Council. I will examine the issues and legislate with a mind of the best interests of the County and its residents.

Protecting our land, legacy and character

But my commitment goes beyond my professional expertise. For years, I have served on the front lines right here at home, as a civic association president and a homeowners’ alliance leader, standing up for us in development and zoning battles to protect our land, our community character, and our generational wealth from irresponsible development projects.

Results that deliver

I have built trusted, bipartisan relationships, having been appointed by both Governor O’Malley and Governor Hogan to advise the Maryland Attorney General, because delivering for our community requires the skill to navigate power and secure resources. In this role, I was responsible for making mandatory mediation a requirement in home foreclosure cases.

Community First Always

My life’s work in business, civic activism, and public service has prepared me for one mission: to represent District 9 and southern Prince George's County with unwavering integrity, ensuring we are no longer overlooked, but empowered. I am ready to fight for the investment and respect we deserve.
